La région de Bourg sur Gironde est, depuis fort longtemps, renommée pour la qualité de ses vins. Roc de Cambes comprend de très vieilles vignes (âge moyen 45 ans), composé de Malbecs (5%), Merlots (75%) et cabernets Sauvignon (20%). Le terroir est argilo-calcaire. Le vin produit, de couleur dense, est riche et charpenté, fruité et à faire vieillir.

Michael Schuster score 16 - 16.5 Roasted nose, ’fat’ and ripe ; beautifully balanced, rich, generous, finely tannic, ample wine ; sweet yet fresh to taste, perfectly textured, with very gentle tannin ; quite powerful, long, warm, mouthcoating, gently spicy, with great finesse and terrific persistence. A lovely and complete wine, with remarkable depth for the Cru. 2015-25

Jancis Robinson score 17 Very dark crimson. Thick and dense and super-juicy nose. Very sweet front palate but different from the usual souped-up right bank wines. Sweet but energetic too. Really lively berry flavours. Long and rich. Lovely wine and not over the top. 14.4% Drink 2016-2028
